Macedonians should watch out for the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the legality of Kosovo's independence and learn from the response of the international community, writes an article in Macedonian daily Utrinski Vesnik Thursday.
Although the matters are not directly related, the case of Kosovo's independence might allow inferences about the prospects of case filed at the ICJ by Macedonia against Greece regarding the notorious protracted name dispute, argues the author.
November 2008 Macedonia filed a claim at the International Court of Justice regarding what it saw as “flagrant violations” of obligations and goodwill on the part of Greece, after in April 2008 Greece blocked NATO's invitation to the former Yugoslav republic.
Greece refuses to recognise the former Yugoslav republic under its constitutional name, arguing it historically belongs to Greece and might incite encroachment on three northern Greek provinces of the same name (West Macedonia, Central Macedonia and East Macedonia and Thrace).
“We should watch out whether the decision will be legally or politically grounded, and whether it will be considered or ignored by the EU, US and the other actors in the international community,” writes Utrinski Vesnik Thursday.
The article also reports that some Macedonian politicians are worried about unclarity of the repercussions a rumored partition of Kosovo might have for Macedonia.
It bewails the fact that Macedonia has not followed the Serbian example and launched a persistent diplomatic campaign to defend its interest in the side.
Interestingly, the Utrinski Vesnik article writes that “Belgrade wants to make Brussels kneel down on Kosovo precisely with EU's argument in the Macedonian case” – namely that stable peace requires that there must be found a decision that satisfies interests of both parties to the dispute and is not just unilateral.
The article also includes a mention of Bulgaria as an "agent of Greece" in the name dispute.

This is how I see it: Bulgaria, Albania and Greece have the right to FYROM territory. Bulgaria and Greece also share Turkey as enemy
Bulgaria, Albania and Greece could become Romania's enemies if Romania keeps insisting Aromans are Romanians
Bulgaria and Ukraine are targeted by Romania's territorial claims
Bulgaria, Ukraine and Hungary have common interests when it comes to Romania
Albania should keep being an Turkey and at the same time US ally (and also of Italy and Germany)
Ukraine should keep being an US ally
Greece should consider going entirely on France and Russia's side since they seem to have no effective lobby in the US
Bulgaria will keep being and Germany and Itally ally (hopefully a US and UK ally too)
Hungary will keep being one of Germany's allies
It is therefore important that Bulgaria be directly or indirectly allied with US (and therefore UK), Germany (and therefore Italy) as one of the 2 major EU members and Russia (indirectly, through Greece) so that it can use third party lobby (Greece for example) in case one of the major international players is in a position to decide on its territorial integrity (let's say Russia will be able to decide on Bg's borders in the future which of course will never happen again; this is only a theoretical possibility)

Dream on ;-)
First of all Serb's as well as FYROMians' "arguments" are void. FYROM has territorial claims on Greece. In Greece like in France and Bulgaria there are no ethnic minorities. Greece has the right to VETO FYROM's EU accession, a right that can't be taken away by anybody, a right that has already been used to get something in return by Slovenia and Czech Republic, Poland and Ireland (the right to veto the EU constitution is as justified as the right to veto other countries' accession)

It's time for Albanians of FYROM to start a war for freedom, even without US approval. What can US do? Bomb the Albanians that are the biggest pro-Americans in Europe? Bulgaria, Albania and Greece should then intervene militarily. Nobody can attack them since they are NATO members and they would not be attacking any NATO member. Then divide FYROM among yourselves.

Greece should pressure Serbia to start calling FYROM "Macedonia" otherwise it will recognize Kosovo's independece. Even Cyprus should do the same since it's a unique case

Right, if you hadn't typed 'This is how I see it' I would have probably thought that this is not your opinion despite being posted under your username - I, like everybody else had thought you do your usual frantic copy-and-paste thing.
Or do you want to tell us that 'copy-and-paste' of hundreds of worthless links can be taken for your individual opinion? Poor you! You are even more demented than I thought, LOL.

In short: you confirm 100% of what I said.
But you are dense to realize it.
